Michael Stapleford, BSME, P.E.

Mr. Stapleford is a registered professional engineer in California and Washington State. He has a wide range of experience in automotive, commercial vehicle and construction equipment accident investigation, as well as slips, trips and falls and product defect analyses.  He is I-CAR trained in auto body repair and refinishing and A.S.E certified in several areas of automotive repair. He began his engineering career in 1987 and has been a mechanical design engineer in the aerospace, automotive and fiber-optic industries. His design and testing experience includes the areas of metal alloy and composite structures, kinematic mechanisms and environmental packaging for thermal and corrosion protection.  He has also developed proprietary methods for micro-machining of crystalline materials for fiber-optics.  Mr. Stapleford began his career in forensic examination in 1990 and has expertise in computerized accident reconstruction, accident scene documentation and photogrammetry.

Since devoting himself full time to forensic engineering 2003 he has conducted over 1,000 investigations involving accident reconstruction, equipment inspection, vehicle and construction equipment, fire, slips or trips and product defect analysis.  He has testified over 60 times in deposition and trial including Federal court.
